Medical Oncology

The department of Medical Oncology has a methodical medical programme which strives for the highest quality of services in the management of cancers at the most affordable prices. The department focuses on latest advancements in Oncology along with a comprehensive cognizable approach to provide patients with the best treatment. Co-operation with other tertiary care hospitals for highly advanced care is promoted. A tri-modal system of Cancer care – Surgical Oncology, Radiation Oncology & Medical Oncology has been adopted to ensure least toxic yet most effective treatment for the benefit of the patient. The focus is not only on increasing the years of survival but more and more on over-all improvement in the quality of life. The department strives to clear the myths and misnomers of chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapy.

Leukemias, lymphomas and unexplained anaemia are special focused regions of the department. The department has highly trained staff for handling and administration of chemotherapeutic drugs.

The Department is headed by Dr Rohit Pai, a hard-headed physician with global experience.

*We don’t have a Radiation Oncology Department, however we are closely coordinated with regional tertiary health centres for providing our patients with a seamless care.
